The Global Leadership Program for Korean Librarians Attend Workshop at UChicago

The University of Chicago Library welcomed visiting participants in the Global Leadership Program for Korean Librarians, a librarian education and training program organized by the National Library Korea.  This program, held on June 23rd at the Joseph Regenstein Library, consisted of a one-day workshop of lectures and tours at the Library.  Twenty-one librarians from academic, public and government libraries in Korea attended the sessions and had the opportunity to learn about the University of Chicago Library system and its services.

Welcoming remarks were provided by Curator for the East Asian Collection, Yuan Zhou, followed by a presentation on "The Subject Specialist in an Academic Library" by Korean Studies Librarian, Jee-Young Park.  Participants were given a tour of the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library as well as a Special Collection tour.​
