The Center for East Asian Studies encourages students, staff, and faculty to utilize our film library for teaching and learning. The library includes more than 5,000 films from and about East Asia. Borrowing is available for faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students at the University of Chicago. Midwest-area K-12 teachers may also borrow films for use in the classroom. Need help selecting a film? Browse our lists of recommended films, created by PhD students, to learn more about East Asian cinema.

K-12 Teachers can explore available East Asia outreach programs for students and classrooms.

Stay up to date with the latest East Asia-related events with our East Asia Outreach Listserv.

The University of Chicago opened the Beijing Center in 2010 to enhance and strengthen the University's traditionally strong ties to Chinese thought and culture.
