CEAS Announces 2021 CEAS M.A. Thesis Prize in Japan and Korean Studies Awardee

The Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Chicago is pleased to announce Michelle Ha, Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences (MAPSS), as the winner of a special 2021 CEAS M.A. Thesis Prize in Japan and Korean Studies for her thesis entitled “Decolonizing Migration Theory: Korean Indentured Labor Migration to Mexico as Case Study”.   For 2021, the Prize has been awarded by the CEAS Committee on Japanese Studies and the CEAS Committee on Korean Studies, as her thesis strongly showcased work in both areas of her transregional topic.
