CEAS faculty member and Assistant Professor of Music, Anthony Cheung, is participating at this year's Ear Taxi Festival - Chicago Festival of New Music which features 88 composers and 350 performers.

Professor Cheung incorporates field recordings from his travels as well as piano sounds representing musical languages from different eras and places.  He embraces conventional forms such as the sonata and concerto grosso, but also uses a modern sonic language that includes microtones and manipulations similar to Auto-Tune.
