The Center for East Asian Studies affiliated faculty member, Rachel DeWoskin, is among a growing number of Creative Writing faculty with plans to add four full-time positions for the upcoming academic year. Creative Writing became an undergraduate major during the 2017-18 academic year and has since expanded beyond expectations with discussions of an eventual graduate option.

DeWoskin is author of "Someday We Will Fly," set in the Jewish refugee community in Shanghai before and during World War II, and "Banshee."
