MESSAGE FROM CEAS DIRECTOR, SUSAN BURNS
Dear CEAS community,
After a distinguished 23-year career at the University of Chicago Library, our valued colleague, Dr. Yuan Zhou, has announced he will retire in May 2021 from his position as Curator of the East Asian Collection. I encourage you all to visit the Library's website to view the special article (https://www.lib.uchicago.edu/about/news/yuan-zhou-curator-east-asian-collection-retire-may/) detailing the numerous developments, innovations, and initiatives that have grown in the East Asian Collection during Yuan's illustrious tenure.
We have all benefited from Yuan's leadership at our Library, and from his generous participation in many aspects of East Asian Studies at the University of Chicago, including serving on the Executive Committee of CEAS for many years. Yuan will be sorely missed by all of us, but I am sure you join me in wishing him and his family the very best in this next chapter of his life.
