CEAS Launches First East Asia by the Book: CEAS Author Talks Events on February 28th

CEAS is excited to introduce its East Asia by the Book! CEAS Author Talks series, with the first event taking place on Tuesday, February 28th at the Seminary Co-Op.

In collaboration with the Seminary Co-Op Bookstore, this series showcases CEAS faculty, alumni, and special guests who provide author talks and book launches at the Seminary Co-Op as a way to engage the broader community in conversations regarding key scholarship on East Asia.

CEAS presents its very first event in the series featuring Robert S. Ingersoll Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus in Japanese Studies, Norma M. Field, and her co-editor, Heather Bowen-Struyk.  The event will present their work entitled, For Dignity, Justice, and Revolution: An Anthology of Japanese Proletarian Literature.  This event will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 5 pm at the Seminary Co-Op.

A presentation by the author(s), followed by conversation facilitated by a discussant and Q&A with the audience, audience members will have the opportunity to purchase books on site and participate in a book signing with the author(s).
