Exchange Opportunities

The following are exchange opportunities facilitated by CEAS.

The University of Chicago and Rikkyo University have an exchange partnership that permits up to two students per academic year to apply for student status. Students wishing to participate in the exchange program must be accepted by Rikkyo University. For information on the requirements and restrictions of the program, please click HERE. Graduate students are encouraged to apply for the Japanese Government (MEXT) in Research Scholarship.

If you are interested in applying for Spring 2024, PLEASE NOTIFY CEAS by October 15, 2023. Please provide a cover letter, CV, and a copy of your unofficial transcript.

If you are interested in applying for Fall 2024 OR AY 2024-2025, PLEASE NOTIFY CEAS by February 1, 2024. Please provide a cover letter, CV, and a copy of your unofficial transcript.

CEAS will review all submitted materials and then nominated students must:

  1. complete an online application through Rikkyo University
  2. download and print out the "Application Form" and all other required supporting documents from the online application system
  3. provide the complete set to CEAS prior to the deadlines listed below.

October 31, 2023 is the DEADLINE for submitting Spring 2024 application materials to CEAS.

February 15, 2024 is the DEADLINE for submitting Fall 2024 AND/OR AY 2024-2025 application materials to CEAS.

Graduate students interested in applying for Spring 2024, PLEASE NOTIFY CEAS by October 15, 2023. Please provide a cover letter, CV, a letter of recommendation from one of your professors, and a copy of your unofficial transcript. CEAS will then review the materials and advise students on the next steps of the application.
